You can cycle along the Windmill Route that will take you past a number of delightful windmills. You can explore the Hanzamevallei Nature Reserve which is a wintering area for wetland birds. This is an important area for birds of prey as well as being a home for numerous species during the breeding season. The Westhoek is possibly the most surprising region of the popular Flemish region.
